Businesses

Five businesses, one bench.

Each of these exists because a client problem kept recurring until it deserved its own name. They share people, suppliers, and standards — which is why a security review and a water-generation study can come from the same conversation without either being a favor. Three are companies with their own front doors, one is in build, and the fifth is a standing watch rather than something we sell.

In detail

The problem each one answers
Security ShieldsUp ShieldsUp, Inc.
Managed security services

The problem. Industrial and operational-technology networks were designed for isolation and are now routable. The controls that protect an office network assume a user at a keyboard; a pump station does not have one. Meanwhile the plant cannot be taken offline for a security project.

ShieldsUp works the way that environment requires: Zero-Trust segmentation designed around processes that must not stop, continuous monitoring tuned to industrial traffic rather than office traffic, and secure workbench technology for the engineering machines that touch control systems — historically the softest way in.

  • Managed Detection & Response
  • OT / ICS Security
  • Secure Workbench
  • Segmentation
  • Incident Readiness
Serves
Critical infrastructure operators, industrial and OT environments, and enterprises modernizing a posture they inherited.
Sells
Posture assessment, Zero-Trust design and rollout, managed detection and response, secure workbench deployment, compliance readiness.

Data center Critical Grid Agility Critical Grid Agility, Inc.
Power, water, storage, cooling

The problem. Compute demand arrives faster than utilities can connect it. Interconnect queues run years, and in the places with land and fiber the constraint is often water rather than power — and increasingly, community opposition to a facility that consumes a town's supply.

Critical Grid Agility designs the site to need neither. On-site generation with solar, geothermal, and hydrogen fuel cells; solid-state supercapacitor storage for the ride-through that batteries handle badly; direct-to-chip liquid cooling to cut the heat load at the source; fire containment engineered in rather than added; and SkyH2O WaterGrid‑X™ atmospheric water generation sized against the site's own psychrometric data, so the water comes out of the air above the campus.

  • Supercapacitor Storage
  • Hydrogen Fuel Cells
  • Direct-to-Chip Cooling
  • Fire Containment
  • SkyH2O WaterGrid-X™
Serves
Site owners, developers, and hyperscale tenants where grid capacity, water supply, or both are constrained, curtailed, or absent.
Sells
Site selection and feasibility, zero-grid-dependence campus design, energy collection and storage, atmospheric water generation, cooling and fire containment.

A feasibility study on one candidate site: what it can generate, what it can draw from the air, and what that removes from the interconnect ask.
Stations Fire & Ice Oasis Energy, food, and water
in one stop
Website ·LinkedIn

The problem. The roadside stop was built around one product — liquid fuel — and the vehicles, the drivers, and the communities around it have all changed. On long corridors the gap is wider than fuel: no fast charging, no food worth stopping for, and in a drought year, no reliable water either.

Fire & Ice Oasis rebuilds the stop around all three. EV fast charging and multi-fuel dispensing share the forecourt so no arriving vehicle is turned away; a real food offer gives the charge window a purpose; and potable water is generated on site rather than trucked in, which makes the location viable where a water hookup would not be. Fire and ice under one roof — hot fuel and cold storage, on corridors where the next real stop is an hour out.

  • EV Fast Charging
  • Multi-Fuel Dispensing
  • On-Site Water
  • Food Service
  • Corridor Development
  • Fleet Routes
Serves
Corridor and rural sites, fleet and freight routes, and communities underserved on fuel, food, and water at once.
Sells
Site development and operation, charging and fueling infrastructure, on-site water generation, retail food, and the energy supply behind all of it.
Start here
A location review: traffic, the gap to the next stop, grid and water availability, and what the site would have to generate for itself.
Direct to consumer Vedaki Health Shopify storefront
Health essentials
In build

The problem. The everyday health shelf is crowded with products that win on marketing spend rather than on what is in them, sold through subscription mechanics designed to be hard to leave.

Vedaki Health is being built against the opposite instinct: a deliberately short catalog, chosen with the same vendor scrutiny the infrastructure businesses apply to hardware, and sold outright rather than locked into a funnel. The storefront is not open yet — this is what it will be when it is.

  • Shopify
  • Direct-to-Consumer
  • Curated Supply
  • Vendor Vetting
  • Fulfillment
Will serve
Individuals buying daily health, hydration, and recovery essentials without a subscription attached.
Will sell
A curated catalog of health products, shipped direct.

Emerging Disruptive Technologies Not a business line —
a standing watch
Watching

Not a product, and nothing is sold here. This is the note at the end of the list: we keep looking. Needs do not disappear in a disruption, they move — and the organizations that struggle are rarely the ones that failed to see a shift. They are the ones with no capacity to act on it while still running the current business.

AI and machine learning, autonomous systems, industrial automation, mobility, and quantum computing are the areas under watch. Most of what passes through this column stays in it. When something looks ready to be a business rather than a demonstration, it goes through the same route the lines above did — an MVP in front of a real buyer first, then a name, an owner, and its own entity.
